ABOUT LEAH KENT
I started pole dancing 8 years ago and fell in love instantly! As my obsession grew, i quickly fell into Aerial hoop and Aerial Silks as well.
I have participated in numerous Aerial and Pole shows over the years and love how supportive the pole community is! Before I found Pole and Aerials, I was a dance instructor for almost 10 years, teaching various styles of dance including Ballet, Tap, Street, Cheer and break dancing. I ran a dance school, Attitude Dance Academy for 6 years.
My career took over however and I wasn’t able to commit to running the dance school anymore. I started dancing at a young age, and danced on and off until I was a teenager. I got back in to dance at the age of 21 and performed in shows, cabarets and productions in Disneyland Paris, Barcelona and Blackpool to name a few.
I took my first dance teachers exam when I was about 22 and gained teaching and Anatomy and Physiology qualifications with the IDTA. I then went on to qualify as a cheer coach with the NCSSE, and later took my Ballet associate exam with the BSDA (now IDA). I was also a qualified Zumba instructor for 5 years.
I’m currently DBS checked and Xpert Childrens Aerial & Pole Certified. I have always enjoyed teaching and love seeing the progression of each student and sharing their passion for dance.
