ABOUT CLAUDIA
I started aerial silks in 2017 after a friend recommended I give it a try. I was instantly hooked and became silks mad. I have trained in many of the other aerial disciplines however silks is my true love. I love the diversity of tricks that can be performed and I am always on the hunt for new variations to try.
Prior to doing aerial I was a roller-skater, I began at 17 initially doing figure skating. When I moved to London I started playing Roller Derby. I got the opportunity to play all around Europe and instructed the beginner programme.
I work in the Outdoor Adventure industry and can often be found hanging off the side of tall buildings, which I suppose explains why I don’t have a fear of heights! I love teaching and completed my aerial instructor training with Flying Fantastic in 2019. I am experienced at rigging and completing equipment inspections. I have a full DBS and I am also a fully qualified first aider.
I recently moved to Kent and joined the Athena team. I am thoroughly enjoying it and have been welcomed by everyone, I’m excited to get to know the team more!
